National Forum (Uniwork) 2015

On September 25, 2015 the Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economics held the first national forum on youth employment and entrepreneurship development in Kyrgyzstan. “The development of professional and intellectual career of youth in modern conditions” in the framework of the European TEMPUS UNIWORK project “Strengthening Career Centres in Central Asia Higher Education Institutions to empower graduates in obtaining and creating quality employment”. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ministry of Labour, Migration and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic, Youth Labor Exchange, FH Joanneum Gesellschaft mbH Graz, Austria, universities of Kyrgyzstan, business environment, and public funds attended the forum. The main objectives of the Forum were: the exchange of good practices of Career Centers in the universities, the analysis of the situation of youth employment and opportunities for development of youth entrepreneurship in the country. Carrying out such activities will allow universities to contribute to the development of a national strategy to increase youth employment and entrepreneurship development in Kyrgyzstan, encourage communication between universities and the business sector, and to attract universities, not involved in the UNIWORK project, as well various communities in Kyrgyzstan (the mass media, government agencies, enterprises) to disseminate the project results.
